The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in the suburb of Prato is documented starting from 1690, the year it was built on the initiative of the Cles resident Don Giacomo Borghesi.
Between 1851 and 1852 after termination of the benefice, Giorgio Chiesa purchased the entire area including the home and chapel with the purpose of building a modern hotel. On the strength of an agreement with the Diocese of Trento stipulated on 4 March 1852, the chapel was preserved and effectively incorporated into the extensive “Grand Hotel Cles” complex. The chapel is simple in design and eclectic in style with some Romanesque and Gothic features. The frontal facade has a slightly splayed central doorway accessed with a flight of steps, and a large rose-window that provides natural lighting. Inside there is a single rectangular nave divided into two bays with groin vaults overhead. The Baroque altar originates from the destroyed church of Santa Maria Nuova near the old Pez hospital. It was made by the Cles workshop of Vigilio Fortunato Prati and is dated to between 1690 and 1710. Above the altar hanging on the presbytery wall is an altar piece depicting the Madonna and Child, John the Evangelist, and Saint Rocco, by unknown artists and dated to the end of the XVII century.
