The convent of the Franciscan Friars Minor and annexed church of Saint Anthony were built following the plague of 1630 on the initiative of the people of the Non and Sole Valleys. The architectural complex was consecrated in 1649 and houses some significant paintings, including masterpieces by Luigi Vanvitelli, Pietro Ricchi, Giovan Battista Lampi, and Cristoforo Unterperger.
The first stone was laid on 24 August 1631 and the cross was blessed by the Bishop of Trent, Carlo Emanuele Madruzzo. On 22 August 1649 the new church was consecrated, dedicated to S. Antonio di Padova and designed by the architect Friar Filippo Gobbi of Pannone.
