The "Doss di Pez" Viewpoint is a natural marvel, modelled by the glaciers and today the location for a big shady play park with picnic tables and benches, and a splendid panoramic terrace used as a venue for numerous open air events.
Some of the valleys run along ancient or more recent geological fault lines, enormous cracks where gigantic bodies of rock have been raised, fractured, and piled up, creating our mountains. The Val di Non, in addition to being unusually wide, also runs distinctly north to south. This, together with the presence of numerous small hills and deep canyons, made it a highly desirable territory in ancient times and it was settled by the earliest humans.
