Among the various mountain farms scattered over the higher ground of the Cles mountains there is one in a rather secluded location, basically behind Monte Peller looking from Cles.
Because of its position it does not receive much sunshine, making the area very cool even in summer. From the Malga you can continue along the easy SAT no. 308 path, which goes all the way around Monte Pèller passing the
Lago delle Salare and then climbing up to Passo della Forcola before descending to Malga Tassulla. Malga Clesera provides a truly unique panorama, especially towards the north over the Maddalene Mountain Group with its attractive rounded landscape characterized by numerous glacial cirques carved out by glaciers in the metamorphic rocks. It forms a mountain chain of great overall morphological regularity, contrasting starkly with the mountains seen much further away towards the east (Anauni Alps and the Dolomites) consisting mostly of sedimentary rocks with jagged rock walls.
